6th August 2023.

A good shoot on Sunday and a couple of happy folks who had received their Shotgun Certificates for the first time. Most collected their prizes but we still have some left so will be raffling those at the next shoot also in aid of Manorlands. The Alan Hayes Cup was presented to the highest scorer at the Manorlands shoot to be held for a year. I saw everyone making use of the chairs we had been gifted, sitting in the sunshine and having a good chat about their shooting exploits. We will put them inside in the winter so you can view the shooting and not get wet. It is good to have a sit in the sunshine on the moor having a cuppa with friends, having a laugh and relaxing after the Covid shutdown and I know it is taking time for some folks to get back to their normal day to day activities. The houses at the bottom of the track are going up now and I will be putting leaflets through their doors telling them they can come up for a walk, see who we are and what we do and have a cuppa even if they don't want to join the shooting. We need to keep them on our side. See you all at the next shoot and please take part in the raffle.

Another day of high scores; is everyone improving their shooting or is it the better weather and us not wearing as many thick jumpers like we do in the winter time? Good to see one of our girl juniors
