2nd April 2023.

Today was a good day, sunshine, not a lot of wind and lots of new faces. One group celebrating a Birthday but coming back for another go. Regulars who won prizes at the last shoot finding out what they had won. A good variety of targets for all abilities were the order of the day and people kept saying they had really enjoyed it. One stand was a little demanding but there has to be one for the better shooters. When the shoot was finished and we were clearing up a barn owl flew across the ground followed and harassed by three curlews. We all stopped what we were doing to watch the display.

Great to see the curlews back, I have not seen any for quite some time. A barn owl in the sun was quite an extra.

We are getting nearer the time of the Bronte Vintage Gathering where we raise money for Manorlands. The cost is £8 for ten shots and you will have an instructor if you have not shot before. We raised £1000.00 last year and we hope to beat that this year. Keep a note in your diaries 13th 14th May. It is held on the fields at the side of the road between The Flappit Pub and Cullingworth. There are lots of other things to see so come along.
