7th September 2025

The shoot today went well, decent weather, good birds and we had some shooters who had not been for some weeks come along and it was good to see them again.

I got all the way round the five stands today, in some pain but thanks to the help I got I made it. thanks for the help.

We have now had the track repaired and some of the ditches re-dug to help the winter rains drain away. It is much better now.

One or two people asked about my laptop being hacked which caused a lot of consternation thinking “Does this little old lady need help?”. No, no help needed thanks, and almost all of you realised it was a scam thank goodness. One member even brought me a meat pie for my tea today which made us laugh. I thank him.

Some good news, a member's Mum who had been away for treatment for cancer is now back home and doing well. Good to hear.

One of our kind members loaned his shotgun to a member awaiting his Shotgun Certificate granting and so today he was given a very special bottle as a reward, not off the supermarket shelf. He was delighted with it.  Members and regular visitors are so kind and helpful to each other here at the shoot and I would not be without them.

Some bad news, sadly I have had to ask a member not to come to the shoot again, I think that is the first time that this has happened.
