It was our Battle of Waterloo Shoot and the English won this year. Results will be posted on the cabin wall at the next shoot. There are small prizes for the top three scorers on the English team.

My next door neighbour watched me take out of my car boot the wine and then the pack of beer. I did hastily explain that they were prizes waiting to be handed out from a raffle along with other stuff that I didn’t want to be left in the damp cabin. Didn’t want her to think I was going to drink it all.

I am hoping the seven remaining prizes will all be claimed soon. The winning numbers are on the blog (and hopefully on our Facebook page as well).

Don’t forget the 29 th June is an extra shoot to raise some more money for Manorlands.

We raised £2000 at the Bronte Vintage Gathering, the total for the whole show was £75000 and I am sure the new committee will be pleased with that. We have

received a letter of thanks from Manorlands but I know they need all the money they can get.

Last Sunday was a good shoot even though it was very windy. Several folks had a second round and we had plenty of visitors as well as members. It was good to see everyone laughing and enjoying some banter and catching up with news as well as their shooting.

One very small child was certainly dressed for the occasion in his tweed shooting jacket and brogue boots. He was very smart indeed.
