Another chilly day at Foreside Top so hot drinks and bacon sandwiches were more than Another chilly day at Foreside Top so hot drinks and bacon sandwiches were more than welcome!

The fog did eventually clear and some hardy souls completed a second round. There was the usual friendly competitive banter and a good turnout of both members and non members. A few new faces came to try their hand and thanks go to our helpers as usual who are always willing to impart their knowledge as experienced shooters in supporting, coaching and encouraging visitors.

New trees have been planted next to the new housing development at the bottom of the track which over time will establish and re-green some of that area.

We look forward to seeing you all again on the 2nd March - hopefully we will be heading into Spring by then!! A reminder that our Spring Competition is on the 16th March for members but, visitors are still welcome to come and shoot. Should anyone have any ideas/comments relating to club matters please come forward and chat or e-mail Marjorie - all points of view considered - the club is for all and we value input to maintain our friendly inclusive environment.

Does anyone have any photos that we could upload to the website - please remember that not everyone may want identifying - we have some fantastic views/scenery (when the fog lifts!!) - has anyone managed to capture the barn owl on film as it quarters across the moor??

We are looking forward to the Bronte Vintage Gathering again in May - the usual fundraiser for Manorlands Sue Ryder Hospice. Help would be appreciated on either of the days - 10th and 11th May.

Keep warm and see you on the 2nd March!

We have just learned that the main gates will be closed to vehicles at 9.30 a.m. So, if you want to bring your vehicle up to the shoot, you must arrive before then.

Another day of high scores; is everyone improving their shooting or is it the better weather and us not wearing as many thick jumpers like we do in the winter time? Good to see one of our girl juniors
