17th March 2024. Spring Comp.

A lovely day, more or less, and think members forgot it was the Spring Competition day. No one mentioned it. Results and prizes next shoot. First prize is a voucher for a free shoot including cartridges.

Skipton Gun Shop has got us onto a new website that advertises businesses but have put ours on as a non profit making shoot so I hope you use Skipton Gun Shop in return for their kindness. The link is sportingguns.com so have a look. The site is still being built so it is work in progress.

Our next shoot of course is 31st March in aid of Manorlands as we cannot do the BVG because of the horses. Bring as many shooters as you can as Manorlands needs all the money it can get as it suffered greatly during Covid. We already have a bottle of Whisky and three small prizes to offer.

I think we may have another junior soon as a small boy came on Sunday and we gave him a couple of cartridges and let him have a go with the .410, he loved it. I think he had been put off by watching the 12 bores and didn't know about the smaller gun he would be able to use. Let us hope he comes again with his Dad as we need young people coming into the sport.

See you all on the 31st March.
