18th June 2023.

How did that happen then, Waterloo competition faught and the French side won. All the best shooters seemed to be on that side but the cards were marked at random so no cheating could be done. I think the top scorer last year was on the losing side so didn't get a prize of any kind. It is the first time the French have won. The next competition will be the extra shoot held at our ground in aid of Manorlands and then Trafalgar in October. I hope those who dashed off for a Father's Day celebration had a good time. At least we would all get home from the shoot before the heavy rain. It was so bad it came over the guttering on my bungalow like a waterfall, not a time to be shooting. We had two more joined the club as members and they are very welcome; we also have another teenager trying out shooting and he says he is enjoying it. Thank you to the boys who collected me some broken clays for the bottom of my garden plant pots as I had run out of things to put in for some drainage. They also pick up the clays missed by folks like me.
