19th January 2025.

What a busy day it was yesterday There were new members joining and old members renewing, some filling in forms as they had not been before and all booking on to shoot.  Everyone catching up on each others news as we have not had a shoot since before Christmas because of the heavy snow. We did a raffle and raised £100 for Manorlands, the Sue Ryder Hospice in Oxenhope.  It was cold, not just cold but absolutely freezing, folding the raffle tickets up was difficult when you cannot feel the paper.  Thanks to those members who helped with this.  All the ones who had not been before said they had enjoyed it and one made himself and his two sons members.  I didn’t get to shoot as it was noticed one of my tyres looked a bit flat.  As always, a clay shooter to the rescue and it was pumped up but seemed a bit dodgy so I went home and left the helpers to finish their shooting and clear up.  Thank you to my rescuer and I will get my tyre checked over.  I still owe a thank you to the person who organised that beautiful and large bunch of flowers for my Birthday before Christmas.  No one will admit to knowing who it was.

Our next shoot is the 2nd February so let us hope it is a bit warmer by then.

Marjorie
