19th Nov.2023

I was surprised at how many people turned out on Sunday, what a brave lot you are and so cheerful and laughing as well. The rain was horizontal and everyone got so wet. When I got home I had to decorate all my radiators with the score cards before I could use them. We must be a hardy bunch of folks to brave that awful rain. It was a good shoot and people said they had enjoyed it. Our usual bacon sandwich king was away and so we had one of our lady shooters in charge. She got a lot of compliments on her sandwiches and also the coffee she made. She sold an awful lot of sandwiches on Sunday and because it was so cold a lot of hot drinks. Thank you to her for stepping in. The next shoot is the Veterans competition so if you are a member of 65 or over you are automatically entered. The trophies and medals will be handed out at the shoot on the 17th December so you can show off to Christmas visitors how good you are if you win anything. You could hang your medal on the Christmas tree. I sold some vouchers yesterday for Christmas presents, what a good idea, no shopping in town looking for anything or wondering what on earth you can buy this year. It gives non shooters a chance to have a go at shooting and they may then want to become regulars as some have done in the past.

See you all on the 3rd December.

Marjorie

Another day of high scores; is everyone improving their shooting or is it the better weather and us not wearing as many thick jumpers like we do in the winter time? Good to see one of our girl juniors
