1st September 2024.
It was foggy but it was still fun today. We had two people over in the UK from New York visiting their daughter and never having done clay pigeon shooting decided to have a go. They really enjoyed it and want to have another go when they come over to the UK next time. They thought the person teaching them was really good and patient with them. Glad they had a good time.
We also had a visit from a lady that has come to live in the new houses at the bottom of the track and she walked up for a look at us and then decided that she would bring her husband next time and they would have a go at shooting.
We had two members helping set and clear up and work in the cabin which they had not done before, that was good, thank you to them for helping out.
Can I please ask again that snap caps are not brought onto the ground. Leave them at home please. They gave a non shooter in the cabin quite a fright when they were ejected. There have been accidents with them, not on our ground fortunately. You walk away from the last stand chatting to your pal pick what you think are two snap caps out of your pocket, put them in the gun, pull the trigger and when you shoot your toes realise one of them was a spare cartridge. I personally did not see this happen but the person who did vowed to throw his away and he did.
