21st December 2025

This was the last shoot of the year and we had a good day. The weather was foggy but some good scores were put in.

It was a free shoot for members as our Christmas present to you, some members had

forgotten about that perk so were pleased.

The end of year medals and trophies were handed out and there were some surprises there.

Photos are in the Competition Winners section of those who agreed to have their photo

taken but unfortunately the winner of the Cup for highest average over the year was not there, so that is still to present along with the second in line.

Colin, who died recently had won a medal and that was given to his son who is going to put it up in his office with the photo of the traditional Salute we held in honour to his father.

We had several people who renewed their membership and some made themselves members who had not been members in the past but have enjoyed shooting at Foreside Top. We love new faces.

We also had two shooters from Poland visiting relatives for Christmas come to the shoot. We were very pleased to see them.

In the post this morning there was a Christmas card from Manorlands, the Sue Ryder Hospice. It had a hand written message to all the people in the club who have done their best to raise the much-needed funds for them, both the “have a go” shoot at the Bronte Vintage Gathering and with the raffles we have had.

We will be doing the Bronte Vintage Gathering shoot again to raise funds as we

have done in previous years. We managed to raise £2000.00 for them last May so we hope to do well this coming year as well. Should you get anything for Christmas that you really did not want, please save it for the next raffle. The awful socks you hated may be the thing someone else will love. . .

Thank you to everyone who has helped the club during the year; have a very Happy Christmas and I hope to see you all in the New Year.

Marjorie

You cannot beat Flying Black 9 for variation! We have different “birds” on each stand, on Sunday we had wind, we had rain, we had snow, we had hail and then we had wonderful sun. We also had a lot of

There were only two people who scored more than 30 on Sunday but I am told it was extremely windy. It is good I think to shoot sometimes in the rain or the wind, more of a challenge against the eleme
