What a good day we had. There were several people who had never shot before and really enjoyed the experience and want to return for another go and some people who had only been once but wanted to come again. They were all very welcome and we enjoyed their company. There were some good scores put in even though the clay rabbits kept trying to escape. A mat had been put down for them to run along but the clay rabbits had other ideas on occasion and decided to try the grass. It made it a fun stand. We had a different audience as well, several cows seemed very interested in the shooting but dutiffully stood behind the stands most of the time. I think the white one wanted to have a closer view but had to be escorted back with the others. Made a change from the sheep. People are now moving into the houses at the bottom of the track and one new owner has expressed interest in coming to find out what we do and have a go. Our next shoot is the Battle of Waterloo so don't forget. It is a members competition but visitors are still very welcome. The 50 clay shoot is conducted in the usual way.
