5th March 2023.

A good day today, fine and little wind. Top score was 38 so well done. Some of the clays were quite fast and high but it was enjoyable to see how many could be hit. We had three new faces so that was good to see. The next shoot is a competition for members but visitors can shoot round as usual. We don't have a plan that we use each year for the Spring comp like we do for the Waterloo and Trafalgar shoots later in the year so everyone will have to wait until the day to find out what it is to be.

We are getting our plans in place for the Bronte Vintage Gathering on the 13th and 14th May. I know it seems early but we need to make sure everything we need will be ready. Anyone who would like to help will be welcome, Shotgun Certificate holders mostly but we can usually find jobs for others as well. You may only be able to come for one of the days but you will be welcome. As most of the shooters have never shot before and Mums, Dads and girlfriends often want to take photos, crowd control to keep everyone safe is a priority. The profits go to our local Sue Ryder Hospice, Manorlands in Oxenhope so a good cause. There are lots of other things to see at the event so come along if you can.

We have just learned that the main gates will be closed to vehicles at 9.30 a.m. So, if you want to bring your vehicle up to the shoot, you must arrive before then.

Another day of high scores; is everyone improving their shooting or is it the better weather and us not wearing as many thick jumpers like we do in the winter time? Good to see one of our girl juniors
