6th April 2025.

The Bronte Gathering is getting nearer, 10th/11th May and we need lots of helpers. You don't need to have a shotgun certificate as there are lots to do that don't need one. Should you only be able to come one day not two, that is fine. There are monster trucks doing a display, lots of stalls, vintage motorbikes, cars and tractors to look at, a fair for the children, even a beer tent. The money raised by us and by the event as a whole goes to helping the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope give care to folks who need it and they are jolly good at it. Let me know if you can help.

The shoot yesterday was in the sunshine, a little chilly wind but it is only the start of April. Some good scores were put in and the rabbit clay proved challenging, sometimes leaping in the air, sometimes running along the ground. You needed to be quick off the mark to get that one. One of the traps was playing up but was repaired at the end of the shoot.

I am told the car park we used to use at the bottom of the track is for sale by auction. Part of the agreement for permission to build the houses was to green that area but it has gone up for sale instead. I cannot really see why someone would buy it if you cannot build on it so let us hope it gets cleared by the builders and we can park there again. Cannot think of another use for it.
