Cold but fine and we had a good turnout of members and visitors.  Thank you to whoever put the black cow back into its field.  It was on the main road side of the wooden gate so could soon have ventured out into the busy traffic.  It had managed to jump over the wall onto the track but cows can jump higher than a lot of folks imagine.

The next shoot is the Battle of Trafalgar and each member will have a ship’s name on their card.  Shoot round as usual with friends but at the end of the day your card and someone else’s with the same ship’s name will be added together along with the average for the whole shoot.  The two with the highest combined score will be given prizes at the following shoot.  This means that you all have a chance to win.  Come and see if you will be a lucky shooter.

The next shoot is also the day when the John Midgley Cup, given to us by his son, is presented.  It is for the person who has been ten times or more for two years and improved most but it can only be won once.
