7th July 2022

It was hot as predicted but with a little breeze by the time I went out to shoot. We had the rabbit trap on again as requested but it was breaking too many clays so we will have a rethink about how to do that for you all. New faces yet again and you are all very welcome. One of our helpers had to be taken home with a severe nose bleed so I hope he is now feeling better. The rest of the shoot went well and there were some good scores put in. One of our lady members got an excellent score and went home really pleased. We had our helpers three little boys again and they helped at the end of the shoot running and fetching all the small items in for us. They ended up getting bitten by some insects in the rushes while picking up clays but chocolate seemed to cure that. Their Mum enjoyed her shoot. West Yorkshire Police Firearms Div. seem to be struggling to catch up with renewals at the moment after the difficulties of the shutdown. I am sure they are doing their best and are no where near as bad as some police forces reported in shooting magazines. Please be patient with them. I have always found them helpful and I am sure they will soon be back up to speed.

I hope you all stay well and I hope to see you all next shoot.
