21st September 2025.

After all the rain on Saturday I wondered how the track would be but it was all OK. Early Sunday morning I saw the rainwater coming through the drain that goes under the track coming down like a fierce waterfall into the stream below. Glad that had been dug out when the track was repaired.

The sun shone and there was little wind so a good day for shooting. The scores were not high as the clays were difficult but everyone seemed to have enjoyed it and there was lots of chatter going on about how they had done. There was lots of tea and coffee drunk and bacon butties eaten and a lot of laughing.

The second shoot in October will be the Trafalgar shoot so we will be having another raffle for Manorlands, so please look out those things you no longer want but someone else could make good use of.

Can anyone make use of a camouflage net for free? It is old but if you want it let me know and I will bring it up to the next shoot. I gave one away a little while ago for someone to stabilise a banking in their garden. A few creeping plants put in and it could not be seen; I would never have thought of that.

The celebration of Trafalgar Day will be run as usual so anyone can win. It is also the day the John Midgley Cup will be presented to the person who has most improved their average over the last two years.

It cannot be won twice by the same member so although you think it could not be you - it could !!!
